Congratulations James Johnson!!!!

On our fishing trip James caught this monster of a Paddlefish.  AGFC submitted this fish as a new AR state record weighing 118 pound 9 ounces. The total length from tip of rostrum to tip of tail at 69 inches.  The length from eye to fork in the tail was 49 inches.  The girth was  44 inches.  Way to go James!!!

My name is John Wood.  I was born in Rogers, Arkansas and have grown up on Beaver Lake in Northwest Arkansas.  I have been a Striper Guide for over 20 years.  The boat I use is a 22-foot Center Console that seats up to four people plus myself.


I furnish all fishing gear and bait.  I am set up to fish live bait and to troll artificial baits.

Customers need to bring food and drinks (and cooler) for our time on the water, also clothes for the weather:  coats or jackets and rain-gear.

I do both morning and evening trips.  I also have other boats I work with for larger groups.
